Aquagrowth Soil is ready to use.

No rinsing is necessary. One 9 litre/kg pack is sufficient for a 60 litre aquarium. This will allow plants to grow in a 5 - 6 cm thick soil.

Using 150g of soil per liter will ensure the aquarium has the necessary amount of soil. Pour about 1 cm of dechlorinated water into the aquarium and add the Bacterkit Soil substrate additive by Prodibio. Then add the necessary amount of Aquagrowth Soil which, thanks to its porosity, will completely absorb the water.

It is recommended to create soil ridges from the back to the front of the aquarium. If the aquarium will house shrimp, add Aquashrimp Powder on top of Aquagrowth Soil.

The powdery consistency of Aquashrimp Powder will allow the shrimp to lay their eggs and keep them on the surface of the substrate. Otherwise, they will get trapped between the Aquagrowth Soil granules and the young shrimp will have difficulty rising and reaching the surface of the substrate.

Add the main decorative elements (rocks, aquatic plants, etc.) and install the desired decoration. Slowly add more water to avoid creating holes in the substrate and damaging the aquarium design, until the surface of the soil is covered with water.

Add plants and continue to install decoration as desired. Gently refill the aquarium with additional dechlorinated water, removing any floating soil particles.

The water may become cloudy once the aquarium is filled. This effect will disappear naturally after a few hours, especially after the filter has been activated. If the water remains cloudy, replace part of the water with clean dechlorinated water.

Start the aquarium and carefully introduce fish and shrimp after using the Prodibio range of water treatments for freshwater aquariums: CHLORAL RESET removes chlorine and chloramine from tap water; START UP activates the nitrogen cycle before introducing fish and shrimp; regular addition of BIOCLEAN maintains water quality; BIOVERT fertilizes plants (safe for shrimp).
