For the best recreation of a natural environment that can ensure a long and healthy life for fauna from the acid waters of the Amazon, it is necessary to maintain a pH of around 6.0 in the tank and water rich in organic acids. This situation in nature is produced by the degradation of rainforest plants that produce natural acids, rich in benefits for the aquatic biotope. It has a detoxifying action and strengthens the immune system of animals. Humic acid is a mixture of organic compounds soluble in water that is found in rivers and streams that run through territories rich in humus (Amazon forests for example). Fulvic acid is one of its constituents and has the ability to transport up to 60 different trace elements, to chelate different soil minerals thus promoting their absorption by plants. Fulvic acid supports the immune system through a detoxifying action that is very beneficial for aquatic plants, fish and freshwater invertebrates.
