How does it work?
The biOrb AIR uses sterilized coir compost as a growing material for the roots of your plants. The coconut fiber compost is spread over a capillary mat that slowly draws water from a small tank located in the base.
Natural light is not needed. The LED lighting is arranged in a circular fashion at the top of the sphere. The light output produced is perfect for encouraging natural growth of plants and preventing them from bending towards a single light source. In addition, it is possible to set an automatic cycle of 24 hours, simulating sunrise, daylight, sunset and night.
To prevent stagnation and condensation, a continuously running fan recycles air through a replaceable activated carbon filter. A small amount of fresh air is regularly introduced during this recirculation process
To keep humidity within the microclimate, water is added by means of an ultrasonic anti-condensation unit mounted in the upper water tank
